It begins killing the colony in just 60 minutes, allowing you to reclaim your yard quickly. A single bottle can treat up to 162 mounds. Simply sprinkle the powder over the mound, without the need for watering it in. This product can be used on home lawns and around ornamental plants, including flowers, shrubs, and trees, following the label instructions for the appropriate amount based on mound size.

For long-term protection, Ortho® Fire Ant Killer Broadcast Granules provide up to 6 months of coverage against new fire ant activity. This product is designed to treat your entire lawn, controlling the reinfestation of fire ants from neighboring areas. To achieve the best results, apply the granules with a Scotts® spreader when ants are most active, typically in the morning or late evening, and when temperatures are between 65°F and 80°F. After application, be sure to water the granules into the lawn.
